About us

Morpeth Extended ServicesWhat are Extended Services?

A Government initiative aimed at enabling every child to reach their full potential. Part of the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda, an extended school works with the community, parents, local providers, agencies, organisations and their schools to provide access to a ‘core offer’ of extended services

Our Vision

By 2010 the Morpeth Partnership will be offering all our children access to a variety of well organised, safe and stimulating activities beyond the school day. This will help them to make friends, gain new skills, keep fit and healthy, relax and enjoy their time out of school. Parents and families will have opportunities to access parenting and family learning events to enjoy learning with their children.
The Partnership will also offer access to a range of specialist services if they are needed.

What is the Core Offer?

  1. Access to high quality wraparound childcare from 8am-6pm all year round. A varied menu of fun and stimulating activities including drama, sport, arts, crafts, special interest clubs and music.
  2. Parenting and family support
  3. Swift and easy access to specialist services such as speech therapy and behaviour support
  4. Community use of facilities including access to IT, Sports, Arts and Adult Learning
