For children and young people to reach their full potential they need a positive approach to learning and to school. Having opportunities before and after school to play sport, engage in arts and drama, volunteer and make creative use of ICT all help.
Study support, covering learning activities that take place out of school hours, helps to improve young people's motivation, build their self-esteem and help them to become more effective learners. Above all it aims to raise achievement.
Our schools all offer a varied menu of activities including study support. We offer children a safe place to be, where possible, before and after school hours. Please contact you school for further information.
We offer a wide variety of special interest clubs, music, arts activities and sport.
What is offered will depend on what children and young people want together with needs identified in the school improvement plan.
Some of our schools provide breakfast club. Others provide supervision, or the opportunity for children to enter school from 8.30am recognising the long distances some of the children travel to school.
